The Meyer Foundation is a private, independent foundation that supports organizations working to meet local community needs throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Foundation identifies and invests in visionary nonprofit leaders working to improve the lives of low-income people, provide hope and opportunity for young people, build community through the arts, and strengthens the region’s nonprofit sector.

Meyer supports capable, community-based organizations that foster the well-being of all people in the region. We are especially concerned about low-income people and creating healthy neighborhoods. The Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations that serve the people and communities of Greater Washington.
