As grants administrator at the Meyer Foundation, Andrew Brown supports the grants director with the day-to-day grants process. He is always looking for innovative ways to utilize grants systems within the Foundation.
Andrew holds a bachelor's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from Virginia Commonwealth University. His interest in understanding racial inequities and strengthening community-based organizations began when he studied the negative impacts of natural and man-made disasters on low-income communities. Andrew is a CERT-II member of the Fairfax County Community Emergency Response Team and serves on the PEAK Grantmaking Washington, DC Regional Chapter as the program chair.
In his spare time, Andrew loves to be with his family, play his Fender Telecaster, and hike and camp in the backcountry of the Appalachians.
