As executive office and governance manager, Melody Fitzgerald provides organizational support to the president and maintains the Foundation's governance structures – ensuring practices meet regulatory requirements and adhere to best practices.
Born and raised in Virginia, Melody has a passion for working with people. She is active in her community, volunteering regularly with the Arlington Church of the Brethren, and is skilled in communications, administration, and customer service. Previously, Melody has served on the steering committee for the Washington, DC chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) and was a member of EPIP’s inaugural Inclusive Leadership Cohort.
Melody holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington and earned a master’s degree in art history from Emory University. In her free time, Melody volunteers in planning and development for Dunker Punks Podcast. She and her family currently live in Arlington, VA.
