William Dunbar Elected to the Meyer Foundation Board

May 10, 2011

Mr. Dunbar is the co-founder and a managing director of Core Capital Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in small and mid-sized high-growth technology companies. Prior to establishing Core in 1999, he was founder and CEO of Pebble Hill Capital, an investment company providing early-stage funding to information technology and communications companies. Before founding Pebble Hill, Mr. Dunbar spent nearly a decade in senior management and leadership roles with the Allied Capital family of publicly traded private equity funds.

A member of the Young Presidents Organization, Mr. Dunbar is also an active local philanthropist and has served on the boards of numerous professional and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of Venture Philanthropy Partners and on the leadership council for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.

“We are delighted to welcome Will to the board,” says Julie L. Rogers, Meyer’s president and CEO. “His perspective as a venture capitalist, his investment and finance expertise, and his engagement in our region’s nonprofit sector make him an invaluable addition to the board.”
